Car Talk Every Saturday morning, when I was a kid, my father and I would be out and about in our blue station wagon wasting another hour with Tom and Ray from Car Talk. Then a few hours would pass, we might get something done, and This American Life would come on keeping us glued to our seats to listening to Sarah Vowell’s attempt to be goth or David Sedaris’ attempt to be an elf.
Finnally we would end up listening to Fibber McGee and Molly or The Great Gildersleeve on Those Were the Days with Chuck Shaden. I always remember those Saturdays as Fall days and often involving trips to the Home Depot. -JCT
